Julie Chen Moonves is the host of Big Brother's 22nd season, premiering on CBS 5 August 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the first hosts on The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. In the year she began writing that her passion for writing emerged. Also, she was awarded an Emmy for hosting as well as an outstanding comedy talk show. Between 2002 and 2010 Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour newscast during the early hours of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq, among other major news stories on The Early Show. She was sent to Cairo following the 9/11 attacks and gave an intimate and fascinating discussion with the father who was the principal terrorist who took over the world. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She interviewed celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Jhansson, Matthew McConaughey, Mel Brooks, Robert deNiro Jennifer Lopez, and Matthew McConaughey. Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves was a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). In addition, she worked for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first broadcasting job was as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains among her journalistic heros. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Columbia du-Pont-winning Primetime Special that looked at what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
